Install it on the computer that will present.

The installer is for that machine. There is no App Store listing for the phone.

What you download

macOS gets a .dmg. Windows gets a setup .exe. Drag Pilot into Applications on a Mac. On Windows, run the installer. Unsigned builds will warn until the first signed release exists. That warning is the operating system, not a broken file.

Open the download page.

What you do not download

The phone remote is a page the desktop serves after a session starts. Installing a store app would not remove the need for the computer, and it would not make pairing faster.

After it is installed

  1. Open Pilot, then open the deck.
  2. Start a session. Pilot shows a code and a six-digit PIN.
  3. Join the same Wi‑Fi on the phone. Scan, or type the PIN.
  4. On a Mac, allow Accessibility when asked. Windows does not ask.

After the first public release, open Pilot and it can tell you when a new computer app is available. That check uses the internet. Pairing does not. The phone still does not get an app. macOS notes · Windows notes
